Sittings of the RA NA Standing Committees are Held

On February 20 the NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan in the first reading debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Value Added Tax’ which presented the RA First Deputy of Economy Garegin Melkonyan.

The bill “On Amending the RA Law on Electronic Communication” submitted by the RA First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan was also been debated in the first reading.

The considered bills were endorsed to be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the NA session and the upcoming four-day sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Territorial Management and the Local Self-Government at the sitting held by Araik Hovhannisyan’s chairmanship in the first reading debated the legislative package “On Amending the RA Law on Organization of Funerals and Operation of the Cemeteries and Crematoriums” and envisaging amendments to a number of related RA laws.

The key speaker the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan gave details regarding the draft laws.

The legislative package with the endorsement will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.

On the same day the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment moderated by the Committee Deputy Chairman Tatchat Vardapetyan was held.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Simon Papyan presented the package of legislative draft laws “On Amending the RA Water Code,” “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Water National Programme,” “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty.”

Simon Papyan thoroughly answered the deputies’ questions.

The package of the legislative draft laws was endorsed and will be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA session and the upcoming four-day sittings.
