On April 10 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan received Tian Erlong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the RA.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed the Armenian-Chinese cooperation and the contacts at the parliamentary level. Koryun Nahapetyan highlighted the rapprochement of the inter-parliamentary relations, the parliamentarians' active contacts and the exchange of experience. In that context, the perspectives of the cooperation between the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs and the relevant Committees of the parliament of the People's Republic of China were discussed. The importance of including the problems of the international and regional security in the agenda of discussions was underlined.

The sides also discussed the issues of the development and deepening of the relations of the two states in the spheres of defense and security, fighting against criminality, counteracting of emergency situations. They touched upon the effective implementation of the events designed by bilateral treaties in the above-mentioned spheres.
