On April 28 the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings, passing by voting the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day.

The deputies welcomed the pupils and pedagogues of Artashat Senior School who visited the National Assembly within the framework of the NA “Open Doors” programme and were following the procedure of the NA sittings.

The National Assembly in the second reading debated the bill “On Amending the Organization of Funerals and Operation of Cemeteries and Crematoriums” and package of bills presented to it.

It is designed to regulate the problems of the medical workers’ continuous professional development in the sphere of health care.

Afterwards, the deputies in the first reading debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Medical Aid and Service of the Population,” “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty” authored by Ara Babloyan and Mkrtich Minasyan. The key speaker Ara Babloyan presented the goal of the bills.

Mkrtich Minasyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood on the item under debate.

In his speech the RA Minister of Healthcare Armen Muradyan presented the endorsement of the government.

The NA deputies Hrant Bagratyan and Mikayel Melkumyan expressed their viewpoints on the legislative package.

The debate of the item will continue at April 29 sitting of the parliament.

The last hour of the sitting, according to the Rules of Procedure, was allotted to the deputies’ announcements.
