On May 25-28 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan took part in the consultation of the Chairs of the Committees on Defense and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States adjunct to the CSTO PA Council, which took place in Dushanbe.

During the sitting the participants discussed the military-political situation in the CSTO Central Asian Region, the trends of the development of the situation in Afghanistan, the challenges and threats which the CSTO member states face, the provision of the border and military security and other issues.

The CSTO General Secretary Nikolay Bordyuzha also came up with a report at the sitting.

Within the framework of the visit the participants were in the parliament (Majlisi Oli) of the Republic of Tajikistan, where they met with the Speaker of the Parliament and the members of the Committee on Law, Order, Defense and Security.

The participants of the Coordinating Conference also visited the Tajik-Afghan border, afterwards the educational centre of the air assault brigade.

Within the framework of the visit Koryun Nahapetyan laid a wreath and flowers at Victory Park.
