Parliament Continues the Work of the Four-day Sittings

On September 16 the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings.

The deputies continued debating the draft law on the RA Constitutional Amendments.

The parliamentarians continued addressing questions to the key speaker, member of the Specialized Commission for Constitutional Amendments adjunct to the RA President.

The issues mainly referred to the representation of the political forces in the parliament, political monopoly, establishment of the minimum salary, democracy, restrictions of freedom of conscience, right to property and right to family life, relationship between the Armenian Apostolic Church and the state, suspension of deputies’ authorities, number of the ministries, legal ban of creating new factions, right to education, authorities of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister’s authorities, right to property, number of the Deputy Prime Ministers, etc.

The debate of the draft law will continue at September 17 sitting of the National Assembly.

In accordance with the law the NA Rules of Procedure, at the last sitting the members of the Government answered the deputies’ questions.
