On October 14-16 in Saint Petersburg the meetings of the Permanent Commissions on Defense and Security Issues, on Practices of State Building and Local Government, on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport, on Budget Oversight, as well as for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the CIS were held.

The delegation led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, which consists of the NA deputies Hovhannes Sahakyan, Gagik Melikyan, Tigran Urikhanyan and the Representative of the RA National Assembly to the IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan took part in the abovementioned meetings.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission Eduard Sharmazanov moderated the meetings of the Permanent Commissions on Defense and Security Issues, as well as for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges of the IPA CIS.

On the same day the meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport was held, where the NA deputy, the Commission Deputy Chairman Tigran Urikhanyan took part and moderated the meeting.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hovhannes Sahakyan, the NA deputy Gagik Melikyan, the Representative of the RA National Assembly to the IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan took part in the meetings of the IPA CIS Permanent Commissions on Legal Issues, on Practices of State Building and Local Government and on Budget Oversight.

On October 16 an International Conference dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the end of the World War II was held, where the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov took part and delivered a speech.
