On October 27 within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme the members of the project “The Youth Engaged in Society” of Jinishian Memorial Foundation visited the parliament.
Before the meeting they took a tour in the building of the parliament, were in the NA Session Hall and observed the deputies’ work.
Welcoming the attendees, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan has touched upon the crime committed in the parliament on October 27, 1999 and has noted that it is considered one of the most tragic crimes occurred in the parliaments.
The Committee Chairman presented the spheres of the activities of the Committee, the working order and the procedures of the elaboration of the legislative initiatives and the establishment of the decisions of the NA Standing Committees, the activities and the authorities of the legislative body. He also referred to the process of the constitutional reforms of public interest and the possibilities given by the draft law. Artak Davtyan highlighted the participation of the youth in the public and political life.
During the sincere talk the members of the club addressed their questions to Artak Davtyan.
