On November 17 within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme the teachers and the pupils from Hovhannes Tumanyan Secondary School in the Village Dsegh of Lori Marz and the Secondary School N 1 of Arteni Community of Aragatsotn Marz visited the parliament. After observing the works of the plenary sitting and getting acquainted with the legislative processes, the schoolchildren took part in the parliamentary open lesson conducted by NA Deputy Speaker Edaurd Sharmazanov. At the very beginning of the meeting Q & A was chosen as the format of the contact. First, the NA Deputy Speaker welcomed the guests, then he gladly answered all the questions voiced by them.

During the sincere talk the pupils addressed questions to Eduard Sharmazanov on different spheres. The main question was the upcoming referendum, the constitutional reforms and the expecting results. The NA Deputy Speaker detailed the transformation from the semi-presidential system into parliamentary administration, in that context presenting the functions of the parliament and enhancement of the political minorities’ role. Eduard Sharmazanov talked about the achievements of the independence, the high patriotic ideas and the advantages of being an Armenian, due to which, despite the historical calamities, the Republic of Armenia is a developing country today. And in response to the question what is necessary for having achievements in life, the NA Deputy Speaker unequivocally has underlined: strong will, faith to God, to the Motherland, knowledge and has added that everybody on its position should serve for the benefit of the Motherland.

Let us note that the NA deputy Karen Saribekyan also attended the open lesson.

At the end of their visit the schoolchildren, who visited the NA, have been taken photo with the parliamentarians in the Session Hall.
