On November 26 in the French Embassy to Armenia the NA deputy Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan was awarded Chvalier of Ordre des Palmes académiques/Knight of Order of Academic Palms by the decree of the Prime Minister of France for his significant contribution to spreading of the French culture and to the sphere of national education. The NA deputies attended the event.

The Ambassador of France to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier handed over the Order. He expressed his gratitude to Mr Mnatsakanyan for the strengthening of the Armenian-French relations, particularly, for the favourable activities in the sphere of education.

The NA deputy Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan thanked the friendly France for the higher award and added that it obligates him to promote the deepening and development of the Armenian-French relations from now on.

Let us note that the Order was founded by Napoléon Bonaparte in 1808.
