On December 4 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan received Ambassador Piotr Switalski, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to the RA.
In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the procedure and the directions of the parliamentary works in Armenia-European Union relations.
The interlocutors discussed the relations existing in the Committees of the parliaments of the EU member countries and the possibilities of their development.
Talking about the EU-Armenia negotiations being started, Artak Zakaryan presented the positions of the political forces represented in the parliament, particularly the expectation of the ruling political force.
The sides discussed the expectation from the Constitutional amendments in the public and political life of Armenia, in particular in the development of the reforms and democracy.
They referred to the regional problems, the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well the problems existing in the European Union.
An agreement was reached to continue the active cooperation with the European Union Delegation to the RA.
