Parliament Ends the Work of the Next Four-day Sittings

On February 4, the National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings, passing in the second reading and completely the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Turnover Tax,” ratifying the Loan Agreement (ordinary operations) Sustainable Urban Development Investment Program-Program 2 signed between the Republic of Armenia and Asian Development Bank on October 13, 2015.

The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan informed the deputies that a sitting of the NA Ad-hoc Accounting Committee of the ninth session of the NA fifth convocation, during which Chairman of the Committee was elected Sukias Avetisyan, the Secretary – Tevan Poghosyan.

Afterwards the deputies resumed debating the Loan Agreement Life Road Network Improvement Project Additional Financing signed between the Republic of Armenia and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on August 26, 2015.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee, and the member of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The NA deputies Tevan Poghosyan, Hrant Bagratyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Edmon Marukyan, Hayk Babukhanyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Miakyel Melkumyan, Zaruhi Posnjyan, Stepan Margaryan, Shirak Torosyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Gagik Melikyan, Vahram Mkrtchyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Levon Zurabyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Vahram Baghdasaryan delivered speeches on the document.

In their final speeches the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan and he RA Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan answered the deputies’ interpellations and once again substantiated the necessity of ratification of the Loan Agreement.

The National Assembly ended the work of the four-day sittings.
