On April 4, within the framework of the Open Doors programme the participants of the project Youth Engaged in Society (YES) of Jinishian Memorial Foundation from the schools of Kapan and Sisian visited the National Assembly.

The pupils and the teachers, who visited the parliament attended the sitting of the National Assembly, then took part in the open lesson, which conducted the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan.

At the guests’ request Artak Davtyan touched upon the situation at the Karabakh-Azerbaijani border, the military operations of the Armenian Army, then presented the structure and the legislative activities of the parliament.

During the meeting Mr Davtyan answered the questions concerning the pupils and the teachers, which related to the policy being pursued in the sphere of education, the educational programmes and the textbooks of the high schools, as well as the inclusive education at schools.

Afterwards Artak Davtyan had his photo taken with the pupils and teachers, who visited the parliament, at the Plenary Session Hall of the National Assembly.
