On April 5, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings and by voting passed the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day.

At the beginning of the sitting the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov has informed that today in the morning he had a phone conversation with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh and the Prime Minister of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan. "They express their gratitude to all citizens of Armenia, all political forces for unity and support to Artsakh, said the NA Deputy Speaker. Mr Sharmazanov has underlined that the situation on Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact is under control of the Defense Army of Artsakh." The NA Deputy Speaker has stressed that numerous are the deputies and citizens who want to show financial and other assistance to the Armenians of Artsakh. Mr Sharmazanov has informed that the Government of Artsakh has already created similar headquarters: a bank account was opened in Artsakhbank.

Afterwards the deputies in the first reading debated the bill on Giving Privileges on Tax and Compulsory Social Insurance Payments to Hrazdan-Cement CJSC.

Artsvik Minasyan answered the deputies' questions, which mainly related to the reasons of formation of  penalties, the privilege to be given to the enterprise by the government, the possibility of the encouragement of corruption by adopting the bill, the provision of similar privileges to other enterprises and the volumes of the assets evaluated by the enterprise.

In the report Vardan Ayvazyan transferred the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The NA deputies Aram Manukyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Levon Dokholyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Heghine Bisharyan, Nikol Pashinyan expressed their viewpoints on the legislative initiative.

The NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan delivered an extraordinary speech related to the issue, touching upon the voiced concerns and proposals during the two-day debate. Mrs Naghdalyan has urged her colleagues to vote for the presented draft law, which is aimed at creating new jobs and enlivening of economy.

Afterwards the parliament in the second reading and completely debated for adopting the bill on Amendments to the RA Law on Civil Defense Sub-units and the enclosed legislative package, which submitted the RA Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations.

The last hour of the sittings, according to the Rules of Procedure, was allotted to the deputies’ announcements.
