At the Extraordinary Sitting RA National Assembly Passes in Third Reading and Completely RA Draft Electoral Code with Enclosed Legislative Package

By the decision of the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, under Article 70 of the RA Constitution, at the initiative of the RA Government, on May 25 NA extraordinary sitting was convened by the initiator’s established agenda.

The deputies in the third reading debated the RA Draft Electoral Code with enclosed legislative package, which presented the Minister-Chief of Staff of the RA Government, co-author of the Draft Electoral Code Davit Harutyunyan.

He informed that after the second reading a number of editorial amendments had been made in the package.

Afterwards the parliament with 102 for, 17 against and 3 abstained votes in the third reading and completely passed the RA Draft Electoral Code with enclosed legislative package.

The RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan presented the draft law on Amendments to RA Labor Code.

The NA deputies Hrant Bagratyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Gurgen Arsenyan and Rubik Hakobyan presented their views on the draft law.

In his final speech the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan touched upon the deputies’ recommendations and observations.

The RA Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Tadevosyan presented in the first reading the draft law on Amendment to the RA law on Television and Radio.

Then the parliament in the first reading passed the draft laws on Amendments to the Labor Code of the Republic Armenia and the Amendment to the RA law on Television and Radio.

Exhausting the agenda the National Assembly ended the work of the extraordinary sitting.
