On June 22, the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan received the Delegation led by the Chairman of the Central Board of Ramgavar Azatakan/ Democratic Liberal Party Sergio Nahapetian.

Welcoming the guests in parliament, the Speaker of the National Assembly touched upon the history of many years of Ramgavar Azatakan Party, highlighted their path, achievements and role in preservation of Diaspora. The NA Speaker highly assessed the most important issues for the Armenian people: the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the contribution of Diaspora to the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh and emphasized the joint efforts of all Armenians in this context.

Thanking for the reception, Sergio Nahapetian noted that from now on the Party will promote with its activity intensification of the ties between Armenia and Diaspora. According to him, they do their best, in order the Armenians living in Diaspora always be connected with the Armenian culture, education and spiritual values.

He also highlighted the role of Diaspora in the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and assured that the works being done in that direction will be continuous.

Galust Sahakyan asked Sergio Nahapetian about their relations and cooperation with the Armenian branch of the Party. Sergio Nahapetian has noted that they are next to the Armenian branch of their Party and are ready to permanently cooperate and support. In this context the Head of the Parliament highlighted the cooperation between the branches in the Motherland and abroad.

In the course of the meeting they also touched upon the regional problems and other issues of bilateral interest.
