On September 16, a group of students from Antwerp University of Belgium visited the RA National Assembly led by Professor Liliane van Hoof. Let us note that the visit took place with the exchange porgramme of the students of Yerevan State University and Antwerp University. The guests took a tour in parliament and got acquainted with the superb architectural building.

The Head of Information Department Marusya Asatryan, welcoming the foreign guests being in parliament with a cognitive visit, in the NA Session Hall presented the structure and the staff, the legislative and representation activities of the parliament, the order of the MPs’ election, the procedure of the debate of the NA Standing Committees’ activities and legislative initiatives. Mrs Asatryan also touched upon the reforms being made in our country, in that context talked about the constitutional reforms, electoral processes, and the process of turning from semi-presidential system of government to parliamentary system of government.

The guests addressed numerous questions to the speaker, to which she readily answered.
