Parliament Continues Debating the Bill on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during the RA Defense and Enclosed Package of Bills

On November 15, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular four-day sittings. The parliament by voting passed the legislative initiative debated on the previous day, after which the MPs continued debating the legislative package of the RA draft laws on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during the RA Defense, on Amending the RA Law on Servicemen’s and Their Family Members’ Social Security and on Amending the RA Law on State Pensions. The deputies continued addressing numerous questions to the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov assessed very important the legislative package under debate and noted that the issue of the provision of the security for the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Republic remains prior.

The deputies Seyran Saroyan, Stepan Margaryan, Ruzanna Muradyan, Vahan Babayan, Khachatur Kokobelyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Edmon Marukyan, Bazmaser Arakelyan, Levon Dokholyan, Artak Davtyan, Aram Manukyan, Shushan Petrosyan, Hamlet Harutyunyan, Naira Karapetyan, Vahe Hovhannisyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Tigran Urikhanyan, Karen Bekaryan, Margarit Yesayan and Mikayel Melkumyan delivered speeches on the package.

In accordance with the law the NA Rules of Procedure, the last hour of the sitting was allotted to the deputies’ announcements.
