On November 25, the Delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly took part in the 45^th plenary sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS in Saint Petersburg.

The IPA CIS Council Chairperson, the Chairperson of the Federal Assembly of the Council of Federation Valentina Matvienko opened the work of the sitting in the Duma Hall of the Tavricheskiy Palace.

Items concerning the educational, social, cultural and security spheres of the CIS countries were included in the agenda, among them was also the item on Awarding High Awards of the Inter-Parliamentary CIS.

The deputies Hayk Babukhanyan and Rubik Hakobyan from the Delegation of the RA National Assembly were awarded the IPA CIS Medals of Honour.

The deputy Hayk Babukhanyan delivered a speech from the RA NA Delegation on the model draft laws on Adults’ Education and on Inclusive Education.

The results of the plenary sitting were summed up at the press conference, where the RA NA Representative to the IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan took part.
