On February 1, the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan debated the letter-agreement On Making Amendments to the Credit Agreements (special functions) signed on October 17, 2016 and on November 11, 2016 between the Republic of Armenia and Asian Development Bank submitted by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Simon Papyan presented the Paris Agreement signed on December 12, 2015.

The RA Acting Minister of Emergency Situations Haykaram Mkhitaryan presented another agreement.

The agreements with the endorsement of the Committee will be submitted for the ratification of the parliament.

At the sitting held on February 1 moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated two legislative initiatives authored by the RA NA deputies.

The legislative package on Amending the RA law on State Support of the Information Technologies Sphere and on Amending the RA Tax Code authored by the NA deputy Khachatur Kokobelyan was debated in the first reading procedure.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Emil Tarasyan submitted the positive opinion of the RA Government on the package.

The package of the draft laws was endorsed by the Committee: it will be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the eleventh session of the NA fifth convocation and in the upcoming four-day sittings.

The draft law on Exempting from the Taxes the Activities Being Implemented in City of Gyumri authored by the NA deputy Hovhannes Sahakyan was also debated.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Davit Ananyan submitted the conclusion of the RA Government on the draft law.

As a result of debates, the draft law was not endorsed by the Committee.
