In National Assembly Exhibition “Freedom Has No Alternative: Independence” Opened

On February 23, ahead to the rebirth of the national self-determination and the February movement of Artsakh independence sponsored by the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan in the foyer to the session hall of the National Assembly the exhibition of the Artsakh young creative artists opened, where more than fifty works of seven painters and two sculptors were presented. The exhibition was organized jointly with the Standing Committees on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the parliaments of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh and the Ministry of Culture of Artsakh.

The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, deputies Artak Davtyan, Karine Atshemyan, Ruzanna Muradyan, Hayk Babukhanyan, members of the Youth Parliament, representatives of the NA Staff and journalists attended the opening of the exhibition.

The Director of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Artsakh Lusine Gasparyan presented to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the deputies and the guests the works of Artsakh young artists Samvel Tavadyan, Gayane Shushetsi, Armine Avagimyan, Zarine Babayan, Davit Avagimyan, Mary Musayelyan, Mikayel Danielyan, Davit Sargsyan, Hayk Hakobyan and expressed hope that this exhibition in the parliament will become a beginning for Artsakh artists. Lusine Sargsyan thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan, the deputy Karine Atshemyan and the Committee expert, the organizer of the exhibition Marine Hakobyan for organizing the exhibition in the parliament.

Congratulating the young artists, the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan highlighted the fact that today the generation of the independence, of whom the whole Armenian people are proud of, lives and creates in Artsakh. In the NA Speaker’s word, the victory of Artsakh is the victory and achievement of the Armenian people in any sphere.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan in his word has noted that these painters’ childhood has coincided with the war years, but the endless light and freedom ray from the canvases of the young people, who had grown up during the years of independence.

The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan accompanied by the deputies and Lusine Gasparyan took a tour in the exhibition hall, looking at the canvases full of sun and colours of Artsakh.
