On May 19, by the order of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan, Ara Saghatelyan was appointed Chief of Staff- Secretary General of the RA National Assembly.

Below we present Ara Saghatelyan’s biography.

Ara Saghatelyan was born on August 21, 1970 in Yerevan.

In 1988-1993 he studied and graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of Yerevan State University, PhD in Pedagogy.

In 1991-1992 - Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Exchange Herald newspaper.

In 1997-1999 - Vice Chancellor at the Institute of Modern Humanities of Moscow.

In 1999-2000 - Assistant to the General Director, Armenian Airlines CJSC.

In 2001-2006 – Press Secretary to the RA Minister of Justice, Justice 2nd degree adviser.

In 2009-2017 he worked as Director of State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) Public Relations and Information Centre under the RA President’s Administration.

2003- present – Lecturer at YSU Chair of Pedagogy.

He is author of more than a dozen of scientific articles.

He is married, with one son.
