Ara Babloyan Meets with President of Korea International Cooperation Agency

On June 26, the Delegation led by the President of the RA National Assembly President Ara Babloyan met with Sungho Choi, the President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Seoul.

In the course of the meeting, highlighting the mission of the Agency, the importance of the programmes, the President of the RA Parliament noted: “We highly assess the important support programmes, which has been brought into life by your Agency in Armenia. All implemented programmes are distinguished with their efficiency and important significance for our country.”

Ara Babloyan touched upon the technical upgrading of the National Assembly implemented in 2010-2012, as a result of which, the Session Hall of the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia was re-equipped with modern technology. The RA NA President proposed to discuss the possibility of establishing KOICA Office in Armenia for further activation of cooperation with the Agency.

The KOICA President Sungho Choi has noted that Korea-Armenia cooperation is now at high level, and it should be further deepened.

The parties agreed to work for the second support phase of the RA Parliament, as a result of which it will be possible to ensure the new obligations assumed by the parliament after the Constitutional reforms in Armenia and make the process of the parliamentary oversight more efficient.
