On October 4, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan met with the students and lecturers of the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University (YSU), who had visited the parliament within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme.
By the RA NA Deputy Speaker's proposal the meeting went on in Q & A session. The future journalists' questions related to the politics, educational system, legislation, the journalist's skills, etc.
Answering the question on the main factor promoting her professional career, Arpine Hovhannisyan highlighted her love to the lawyers' profession and mastering it. She noted: “ If I had an opportunity to choose again, then I would choose the same profession, as it has features of upbringing character, which are very close to my heart. We should go forward with love, faith, trust and without retreating, if you don’t have faith, you will get nothing, if you don’t have trust, then those inspiring distrust are many, if you retreat once, then you will go backwards all the time.”
In connection with the problems of the higher educational system Arpine Hovhannisyan has noted that the problems are many, but they shall be solved in the course of time by laws. At present the issue of expediency of the Master’s degree education is debated. Arpine Hovhannisyan highlighted the investment of the new and modern methods in the teaching process.
The RA NA Deputy Speaker advised the future journalists to use their knowledge for the professional progress.
