On November 21, The RA NA President Ara Babloyan received the delegation led by the Vice President of the House of the Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Boleslav Pirshtuk. The RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov and the RA NA deputy Gagik Melikyan attended the meeting.

Eduard Sharmazanov presented to the Head of the parliament the agreements reached during the 10^th jubilee sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the National Assemblies of the two countries.

According to the RA NA President, the friendship of the Armenian and Belarusian peoples has deep roots. Ara Babloyan highlighted the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the expansion of the relations of the two countries. The Head of the parliament also touched upon the effective cooperation in the international structures.

He has noted that cooperating with the EU Armenia is ready to create opportunities with its EEU counterparts, opening the doors before new contacts and effective cooperation.

In Ara Babloyan’s word, our countries signed about eighty treaties and agreements for boosting the cooperation particularly in the spheres of economy, trade, science, health care and agriculture. The EEU opens new perspectives before the member countries.

Thanking for the reception Boleslav Pirshtuk has also assessed effective the sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee and has noted that though the economic cooperation is not in the parliamentary format, but the desire to promote the enlivening of the trade-economic ties is great. The Belarusian parliamentarian particularly highlighted the cooperation in the creation of the joint ventures, in the spheres of cattle breeding and transport. Regarding the tourism Boleslav Pirshtuk noted that we should inform the citizens and organize cognitive mutual visits.

With respect to the perspectives of the development of cooperation Boleslav Pirshtuk has stated that it is necessary to expand the circles of communication and the spheres of cooperation.
