On February 5, the RA NA council sitting presided over by the RA NA President Ara Babloyan was held.

At the beginning of the sitting Ara Babloyan proposed to create a working group for decent organizing the events of the 100^th anniversary of the foundation of the Armenian Parliament which will lead the RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov.

The Council approved the draft laws on Making Addenda to the agenda of the third session of the NA sixth convocation and the agendas of the regular sittings being convened on February 6, to establish the sequence and the duration of the debate of the agenda items of the regular sittings. Up to 3-hour duration was set out for the debate of the RA draft laws on Making Amendments to the RA law on Inter-Community Associations, on Legal Acts, on Making Addendum and Amendment to the RA Laws on Legal Entities’ State Registration, the State Accounting of the Legal Entities’ Separated Sub-Divisions, Institutions and Individual Entrepreneurs.

After the Council sitting during the working discussion the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan provided information about the ongoing processes on the activation of the parliamentary diplomacy, the format of the cooperation with the parliaments of the EU member countries, the organization of the Third Global Forum dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of a Genocide, as well as the further effective organization of the work of the Friendship Groups. Let us note that the Global Forum is organized by the RA National Assembly and the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

An agreement was reached to discuss in detail the abovementioned items in the future.

The RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov presented details on the visit of the delegation led by the RA NA President Ara Babloyan to the Republic of Slovakia on January 28-30, as well as the visit of the delegation led by him to Saint Petersburg on January 26-27.

The Head of the RA NA RPA Faction Vahram Baghdasaryan gave information about the visit of the parliamentary delegation to Artsakh Republic on February 2-4. The deepening of cooperation with the relevant committees of Artsakh Parliament and the availability of the coordinated action plan was highlighted.
