On February 24, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the RA National Assembly Artak Zakaryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Timur Urazayev.

Welcoming the Ambassador in parliament, Artak Zakaryan highlighted the role of the inter-parliamentary relations and mutual visits in the development and strengthening of the relations between the two states. Artak Zakaryan underlined the importance of the enlivening of the activities of the friendship groups in the parliaments of the two states, observing that kind of cooperation as an important factor for the activation of the potential existing in the parliamentary format.

In his word Ambassador Urazayev also touched upon the activities of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups, observing the cooperation on that platform as a stimulus of development of inter-parliamentary relations. Regarding the regional problems, Mr Urazayev has stated that Kazakhstan seeks to have and maintain reserved and balanced position in that issue.

Timur Urazayev also referred to the Constitutional amendments being designed in Kazakhstan in future, underscoring in that issue the importance of the exchange of experience with the Armenian counterparts.

During the talk the participants exchanged thoughts on a number of foreign and inner-political issues of Kazakhstan and Armenia.
