On December 20, at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderated by Hakob Hakobyan debated the legislative package on Amending the RA Family Code, on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements, on Amending the RA Civil Procedure Code, on Amending the RA Criminal Code, on Amending the RA Law on Child’s Rights.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan, the necessity of the study and revision of the children’s adoption was indicated by the state and local self-government bodies, as well as by the international organizations. The presented recommendations based on the analysis of the legislation made by the UNICEF experts had been taken into consideration for elaborating the draft law. He noted that there were no amendments and proposals during the period from the first to the second reading. The legislative package was endorsed by the Committee members.
