Delegation Led by Eduard Sharmazanov Visits Saint Catherine Armenian Church of Saint Petersburg

On March 16, the delegation led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, comprised of the RA NA deputies Tatshat Vardapetyan and Gagik Melikyan visited Saint Catherine Armenian Church in Saint Petersburg, met with the spiritual leader of Saint Petersburg Poghos Hieromonk Vardanyan.
The role of the preservation of the Armenian identity of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the spiritual and national upbringing of the youth was emphasized. Eduard Sharmazanov highly assessed the mission of the Armenian Church in the development of the Armenian-Russian spiritual and cultural relations.
The Permanent Representative of the RA National Assembly to the IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan also took part in the meeting.
