On April 7, the RA NA President Ara Babloyan attends the solemn opening ceremony of the memorial plaque eternalizing the memory of the ArmSSR Distinguished Doctor Pediatrician Isabella Davtyan and her husband ArmSSR Honorary Builder Vasak Khachikyan.

Welcoming the attendees, the Head of the parliament considered invaluable Isabella Davtyan’s role in the sphere of pediatrics. “She devoted her whole life to the children’s health. The well-acclaimed doctor was able with her colleagues to reduce the infant mortality, and its level was rather high during those years,” Ara Babloyan noted. According to the RA NA President, nowadays the doctors continue her work.

Vasak Khachikyan’s colleagues highly assessed the merited builder’s contribution in that sphere. The well-known couple’s daughter Aida Khachikyan expressed her gratitude for such initiative.

The honour of the memorial plaque opening was reserved to their grandson Emil Vardapetyan.

The RA NA deputies, the RA Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Davit Ohanyan, medical workers, builders and other officials took part in the event.
