On July 13, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Egypt Friendship Group Khosrov Harutyunyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia Tareq Ebrahim Mohamed Maaty on the completion of his diplomatic mission.

Khosrov Harutyunyan highly assessed the Ambassador’s diplomatic activities in our country, highlighted his contribution in strengthening of the Armenian-Egyptian relations.

The MP emphasized the activities of bilateral, inter-governmental Committee, noting in this context that 11 enterprises function with the Egyptian capital. Khosrov Harutyunayn considered necessary the expansion and development of the economic cooperation between the two countries and the growth of the number of investments.

“The Egyptian product through Armenia can go to the European and the EEU markets,” the MP said.

It was also noted that the economic cooperation between both sides should be laid on the conceptual basis.

The strengthening of the inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the cooperation in the UN and the international different structures was highlighted.

Talking about the Armenian-Egyptian centuries-old ties, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Tareq Ebrahim Mohamed Maaty has noted that they are proud of the Armenian community of Egypt, and its representatives with their contribution have promoted the development of the economy of the country.
