On September 12, the National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings. The deputies by voting passed the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Mutual Recognition and Comparison of Education Qualifications, Scientific Degrees and Scientific Titles between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Afterwards the item of the election of the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport was debated. The RA NA Tsarukyan faction nominated Tigran Urikhanyan's candidacy for the vacant post of the Committee Chair.

The Secretary of the NA Tsarukyan faction Vahe Enfiajyan presented the candidate's working activities and urged his colleagues to approve Tigran Urikhanyan's candidacy.

The candidate for the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Tigran Urikhanyan thanked Tsarukyan faction for the trust.

The Higher Judicial Council nominated the candidacies of Edgar Sedrakyan, Argishti Ghazaryan and Artsrun Mirzoyan for the vacancy of the Judge of the Civil and Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation.

The Chairman of the Higher Judicial Council Gagik Harutyunyan has presented the candidates, nothing that three of them are experienced judges.

Argishti Ghazaryan Edgar Sedrakyan and Artsrun Mirzoyan presented the achievements recorded in Armenia in the sphere of justice.

During the sitting the Secretary of the RA NA Yelq Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan informed that Lena Nazaryan was elected Head of faction.

The Chair of the RA NA Ad hoc Accounting Committee Gagik Melikyan has informed that the voting of the Judge of the Civil and Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation will be held on September 13 from 10:10 to 11:00, and the voting of the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport from 11:00 to 11:30.

At the last sitting of the day, according to the RA Constitutional Law ‘the NA Rules of Procedure,’ the members of the government answered the MPs’ questions.
