On September 12, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov received the CSTO PA Responsible Secretary Pyotr Ryabukhin.
The interlocutors highlighted the strengthening of cooperation of the CSTO member countries’ parliaments and touched upon the activities of the Armenian delegation in the structure.
The sides discussed agenda items regarding the holding of the CSTO PA Council and the CSTO PA ninth plenary sessions in Yerevan on October 29-30.
Regarding the importance of the CSTO in the provision of the RA security, Eduard Sharmazanov noted: “The CSTO is of pivotal importance in the provision of our country’s security and in that respect there is no alternative for joining the CSTO.”
The Permanent Representative of the RA National Assembly to the IPA CIS Hayk Chilingaryan attended the meeting.
