On September 24, the delegation led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, which comprised of the RA NA deputies Tigran Urikhanyan and Tatshat Vardapetyan met with the leadership of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

The sides discussed issues related to the further deepening and expansion of the relations based on the mutual understanding and traditional friendship. In this context they touched upon the enlivening of the inter-parliamentary cooperation and emphasized the work being done in the format of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee.

Regarding the cooperation of the countries in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, Eduard Sharmazanov noted that the EEU created new opportunities for the development of the relations and implementing different programmes.

“The membership to the EEU stems from the interests of our states. We should effectively use the possibilities of the EEU market,” the RA NA Deputy Speaker noted.

The interlocutors also referred to the inter-regional cooperation and highlighted the implementation of the joint programmes on social-economic development.
