On October 2, the RA National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings.

The deputies debated and approved the draft laws on Making Addenda to the draft laws of the agendas of the fourth session of the sixth convocation of the National Assembly.

By the proposal of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan the deputies in a one-minute silence the memory of the well-acclaimed singer, composer, actor, the national hero of Armenia Charles Aznavour. The NA Speaker particularly said:

“Yesterday the worldwide known musician, great artist, a great friend of our nation Charles Aznavour passed away yesterday. I lost not only an acclaimed person and the son of our nation, as all of you, but also lost my good friend and colleague. Since the earthquake we have cooperated for the health of Armenia’s children, their future, implemented numerous joint programmes. The feelings that I have inside me towards Charles Aznavour, are connected with only his posture, his kind and honest skills and all about everything he gave not only to the Armenian nation, but also to the whole world.”

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan also expressed his appreciation towards Charles Aznavour’s activities.

Afterwards the parliament in the second reading and completely debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA law on the RA Audit Chamber authored by Gagik Minasyan, Samvel Nikoyan and Gevorg Gorgisyan.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan presented for debate in the second reading the draft law on Amending to the Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure authored by the RA NA deputies Arpine Hovhannisyan, Vahram Baghdasaryan and Andranik Harutyunyan.

The MPs Edmon Marukyan and Gevorg Petrosyan expressed their viewpoints on the draft law.

Afterwards the deputies in the second reading debated the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment on Electronic Communication, presented by the RA First Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan.

The RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan in the second reading presented for debate the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Free Economic Zones.

Artsvik Minasyan also presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Licensing.

The parliament also debated the item on Establishing the Number of the Investigative Committee Members Created to Study the RA Gas and Electric Power Supply and the Activity of the Distribution Systems, the Substantiation of the Gas and Electric Power Functioning Tariffs created by the demand of 28 deputies of the RA NA Tsarukyan Faction which presented the RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan.

He proposed to establish the Committee members’ proportion: the RA NA RPA Faction – 5, the RA NA Tsarukyan Faction – 3, the RA NA Yelq Faction – 2 and the RA NA ARF Faction – 1 Member.

The voting on the debated items will be held at October 3 sitting.
