On October 29, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Belgium Friendship Group Tatshat Vardapetyan, members of the group Hovik Aghazaryan and Armen Rustamyan met with the delegation led by the Member of the House of Representatives of Belgium Jean-Jacques Flahaux.
Issues on the development of the Armenian-Belgian relations and the two peoples’ friendship were discussed. The upcoming extraordinary parliamentary elections were touched upon and the holding of the fair and transparent elections was emphasized. In this context the Armenian parliamentarians have underlined that Armenia goes on through the development of democracy, and its evidence is the process of smooth power shift held in our country.
Jean-Jacques Flahaux also emphasized the expansion of the Armenian-Belgian friendly relations. In making Armenia recognizable to the world he stressed the development of tourism, noting in that aspect Armenia has an advantage: Europe knows the Armenian people through Diaspora.
The Head of the ARF Europe Hai Dat/Armenian Cause Committee Office Gaspar Karapetian also attended the meeting.
