Issues on Armenia-NATO Cooperation Discussed

On February 15, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan received the delegation led by the Head of the NATO Liaison Office in the South Caucasus  Rosaria Puglisi.

The interlocutors discussed issues on Armenia-NATO cooperation, reaffirming the bilateral readiness in the implementation of the new programs.

Andranik Kocharyan highly assessed the level of the political dialogue with NATO and emphasized the implementation of the events included within the framework of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) in parliamentary format. Within the framework of the partnership relations the Committee Chair distinguished particularly the RA participation in the international peacekeeping missions.

He assured that the Armenian delegation led by him in the NATO PA would be active and talked about the participation of the delegation in Rose-Roth Seminar.

Rosaria Puglisi has highlighted the mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia, documenting that the parliament is one of the most important partners. She touched upon the programs of building integrity in the Armed Forces of Armenia and the problems relating to it.

The interlocutors emphasized the strengthening of building integrity and fight against corruption, touched upon the events scheduled in the parliament within the framework of the NATO week program to be held in Yerevan from March 11 to March 18.
