On February 15, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation led by the Chair of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Links with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Leonid Kalashnikov.
Welcoming the guests in the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan has assured that the newly elected parliament is concerned over further deepening and developing the Armenian-Russian relations which has a centuries-old and rich history of traditional friendship. Recording the strategic cooperation and the relations based on trust, the Head of the legislative body also highlighted the deepening of active cooperation on the international parliamentary platforms.
Thanking for the reception Leonid Kalashnikov expressed conviction that the Armenian-Russian mutually beneficial cooperation from now on would be continuous bilaterally, as well as in the international parliamentary organizations. He highlighted the creation of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration which would be an additional impetus for the effective cooperation of similar committees of the two countries and become a platform of debate for agenda items.
The interlocutors underlined the dynamic development of bilateral relations in all spheres and discussed ways of implementing new joint programmes.
