Statement on Creating Investigative Committee

Under Paragraph 2 of Article 20 of the RA Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, by the demand of at least one third of the deputies’ general number the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security will carry out the authorities of the Investigative Committee by the force of law to study the circumstances of the military operations carried out in April 2016,” the statement of the NA President Ararat Mirzoyan reads.

Under Paragraph 1 of Article 20 of the RA Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, by the demand of at least one fourth of the deputies’ general number, the activities of the Office of the Program for Implementation of the State Committee for Water Economy of the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources in Ararat and Armavir Marzes, an Investigative Committee of the National Assembly was created by the force of law for making a matter of examination its substantiation and the problems.

Under Paragraph 6 of Article 20 of the RA Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the draft decision of the National Assembly establishing the number of the Investigative Committee will be debated in the regular sittings of the National Assembly to be convened on June 18,” the statement of the Head of the Parliament reads.
