Budgetary Programmes and Financial Allocations of RA Police for Coming Year Discussed

On July 31, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan discussed the budgetary programmes and the financial allocations of the police system designed by the basic financial document.

The Deputy Head of the RA Police Vardan Movsisyan has noted that in consonance with the budgetary policy of the Government, the budgetary bids of the sphere are presented by the programme classification based on the programme budgeting. The goal is to provide decent level of transparency and accountability of the services being rendered for the budgetary means.

According to those responsible for the sphere, the most important conceptual problem of the police is the formation of the new culture of citizen-policeman cooperation which is possible to solve particularly by excluding the corruption in the system, as well as fining the citizens and the purpose of persecuting through raising the level of the police reliability at best.

A number of reforms are designed to be made in the coming years in the sphere. The service will replace the sub-divisions of the road police in the populated areas.

It has also been noted that they fight against corruption phenomena in the sphere which is continuous. The MPs' questions related to the works being done for the solution of the problems in the sphere.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan emphasized the preliminary budgetary discussions and expressed satisfaction about the programmes of the sphere and almost faultless elaboration of the provisions.
