On August 23, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Head of the European Union (EU), Ambassador Piotr Switalski, completing his diplomatic mission in the Republic of Armenia.

The Head of the parliament has noted that he is very glad to meet again the Ambassador, who during these years with his activity has proved that he is the real friend of Armenia. Ararat Mirzoyan added that it was very pleasant for him to cooperate with Ambassador Piotr Switalski.

According to the EU Ambassador, it was an honour for him to work for Armenia in this phase of the important developments and underlined that especially during the last two years great progress was registered in Armenia-EU relations, where the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement has also its role in that, as well as the reform agenda being implemented in Armenia.

At the end of the meeting the President of the National Assembly has reaffirmed that the EU is an important partner for Armenia and we shall continuously make efforts for registering new successes in the remaining directions of the joint agenda.
