At August 30 sitting moderated by Narek Zeynalyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs considered the financial allocations and budgetary programmes of the health care sphere for 2020.

The health care is one of the prior directions of the state policy of our country. The policy in the sphere is directed to the prevention of the diseases through creating conditions of healthy way of life. The format of the main services being rendered includes the preservation of human and public health, the improvement of the population’s health, the prevention of the diseases, the early revelation and the service of the qualified medical aid.

The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan informed that the financial means of the implementation of a number of programmes were added. In 2020, the hospitals in the marzes will be provided with modern equipment. In the near future a legislative package improving the legislation of the health sphere will be presented to parliament. The draft law on health insurance is at the phase of elaboration. It was also noted that the World Bank and the international organizations would financially support a number of programmes.

The MPs raised numerous questions, the Committee Chair presented recommendations, which were accepted by those responsible for the sphere.
