On September 12, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and passed the bills debated on the previous day by voting, except the legislative package authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction.

Before turning to the debate of the interrupted item, the RA NA President Ararat Mirzoyan made a statement noting that taking as a basis the deputy’s resignation and being led by the demand of the Item 6 of Paragraph 1 of the Article 154 of the Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly consider suspended the authorities of the deputy Edgar Arakelyan elected through the national electoral list of My Step Alliance are considered suspended from now on.

On behalf of the deputies the NA President sent a document to the CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan.

Afterwards the parliament continued debating the bill on Amending the RA Law on Criminal Procedure Service and the enclosed presented package of bills authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction.

The deputy Nikolay Baghdasaryan presented the endorsement and remarks of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the positive opinion of the government.

During the exchange of thoughts the MPs Sergey Bagratyan, Gevorg Papoyan, Suren Grigoryan, Sergey Atomyan, Vladimir Vardanyan, Heriknaz Tigranyan, Gevorg Petrosyan, Taron Simonyan expressed their viewpoints, positive opinions and concerns on the draft law.

The key speaker Taron Simonyan touched upon his colleagues’ questions in his final speech.

Afterwards the MPs debated the item of the election of the RA CB Council member.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs nominated Hasmik Ghahramanyan’s candidacy for being elected in that position.

The Committee member Yeghishe Soghomonyan presented the candidate’s biographical data and working path.

The Chair of the RA NA Accounting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan presented the order of voting of the election of the RA Central Bank Council Member.

The parliament presented in the first reading the RA draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Foreigners presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan.

The parliament debated in the second reading the bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional law the NA Rules of Procedure and the enclosed presented package of bills. As presented by the author of the legislative initiative the RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, long discussions on the big package concerning the formation mechanisms of the State Commission for the Protection of the Economic Competition, the Body Regulating the Public Services, as well as the Corruption Prevention Committee were held. He touched upon the recommendations presented and the amendments made from the first to the second reading period.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan underlined the necessity of the amendments made.

The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Sub-Structures Armen Simonyan presented the RA draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Aviation Accidents and Creation of Serious Incidents Examination International Bureau and Its Actvity.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hripsime Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Committee. The bill on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code in the second reading and for completely passing was debated.

The parliament in the first reading debated the bill on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Code authored by the Bright Armenia Faction.

The Deputy Minister of Justice Anna Vardapetyan in the first reading presented for debate the bill on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the Government.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Sergey Atompyan presented the endorsements of the Committee.

Summing up the results of the voting the Chair of the RA NA Accounting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan informed that Hasmik Ghahramanyan was elected the CB Council member with 103 for and 3 against voting.
