Issues on Development of Armenian-Lithuanian Friendly Relations Discussed

On October 1, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia Friendship Group Anush Begloian, the members of the Group Nora Arustamyan, Hayk Konjoryan and Arkady Khachatryan met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.

Anush Begloian considered important the development and expansion of the economic, political, inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries. She underlined the importance of the delegations of the two countries in different international structures, including the OSCE. The Ambassador expressed her satisfaction over that and highlighted the continuity of cooperation. She expressed readiness to keep and continue the friendly traditions reached during several years, as well as support in a number of spheres and the bilateral cooperation in the IT sphere.

The Head of the Friendship Group informed the guests that recently during their visit to Vilnius they got acquainted with the Lithuanian experience in the sphere of public purchase control and expressed wish to invest it in our country. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary positively responded to it.

Issues on the development of the inter-parliamentary relations were also discussed: agreements were reached on the meetings of the Friendship Groups in the near future. It has been noted that the cooperation will be purposeful and continuous.
