On December 5, the Vice President of the RA National Assembly Lena Nazaryan received the delegation led by the First Vice President of the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala Felipe Alejos Lorenzana.

The deputy from the NA My Step Faction Sos Avetisyan and the deputy from the NA Bright Armenia Karen Simonyan took part in the meeting.

Welcoming the members of Guatemala Congress delegation in the Parliament of Armenia Lena Nazaryan noted that the visit would promote the development of relations between the two countries.

Speaking about the inter-parliamentary relations, the NA Vice President evaluated the role of the Friendship Groups and expressed hope that in the near future the Friendship Groups would be formed.

Thanking for the warm reception Felipe Alejos Lorenzana has noted that this is the first historic visit of the official delegation of the Republic of Guatemala to Armenia. In his opinion, it is a good opportunity to get acquainted with Armenia and develop multifaceted cooperation with Armenia.

Lena Nazaryan presented the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Armenia. Issues concerning the development of economic relations and tourism were discussed.

The First Vice President of the Congress Felipe Alejos Lorenzana and the RA NA Vice President Lena Nazaryan signed an Agreement on Friendship and Parliamentary Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala.
