On December 16, the RA NA Vice President Lena Nazaryan received the Delegation of Kazakhstan-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Welcoming the guests, Lena Nazaryan highlighted the close cooperation between the Friendship Groups of the two countries’ parliaments. She expressed conviction that during the visit of the Delegation it would be possible to speak about the development of the inter-parliamentary relations, to touch upon the issues of bilateral interest, to exchange ideas and discuss the further ways of cooperation.
The parliamentarians of the two countries talked about the necessity of the development of cooperation in the humanitarian, scientific-educational, high technologies and agricultural spheres. The activation of cooperation in the economic field was also considered important. In this context the RA NA Vice President underlined that in recent years the volume of trade turnover with the friendly country had increased.
In the development of bilateral relations the sides evaluated the role of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan.
In the EEU framework the bilateral cooperation was touched upon.
On the same day the representatives of the RA NA Armenia-Kazakhstan Friendship Group also met with the Delegation.
On behalf of the Group the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Kazakhstan Friendship Group Vagharshak Hakobyan congratulated their Kazakh colleagues on the national holiday of the country - Day of Independence. The MP highlighted the creation of the cooperation format between the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration and the profile Committees of Kazakhstan Mazhilis and Senate.
The interlocutors emphasized the activation of the warm and partnership relations existing between the two parliaments, considered necessary to develop the cooperation between the namesake Committees.
The parliamentarians shared with the valuable experience in a number of spheres. An agreement was reached to create Sub-Committees in social, economic and other directions of bilateral interest.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazayev attended the meetings.
The Delegation accompanied by Vagharshak Hakobyan visited Mother Armenia Memorial Complex.
The guests laid flowers at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and honoured the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War.
