Parliament Ends Work of Regular Sittings

On March 6, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings. The deputies by voting passed the draft laws debated on the previous day, including the draft law debated in the first reading on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Keeping the Arrested and Detained Persons authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia, and the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs gave negative conclusion to it. As a result, it was passed with 70 for votes.

Afterwards the draft law on Amending the RA Civil Code authored by the RA NA deputies Artak Manukyan and Hamazasp Danielyan in the second reading was debated.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and the RA Central Bank endorsed the draft law.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Civil Code authored by the RA Government presented by the RA CB Deputy Chairman Nerses Yeritsyan was also debated in the second reading.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs endorsed the draft law.

The draft law on Amending the Law on Land Tax reviewed by the deputies Argishti Mekhakyan and Gevorg Papoyan was debated in the second reading.

The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Davit Ananyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the draft law on the NGOs.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Artur Hovhannisyan called on to vote for the draft law.

During the exchange of ideas the MPs also highlighted the necessity of the provision of transparency and accountability of the activity of the NGOs, at the same time underlining that the freedom of their activity should be protected.

According to the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hayk Sargsyan, the draft law was endorsed, and he proposed to vote for it.

Davit Ananyan presented the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Exchange of Information on Transport Means Implementing the Transportation of the Goods through Customs of the Eurasian Economic Union and the People’s Republic of China and International Transportantion.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Aleksey Sandikov noted that the Committee endorsed the draft law.

The NA deputy, the author of the draft law Sisak Gabrielyan presented the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Customs Regulation.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Karen Hambardzumyan presented the endorsement of the Committee and called on to vote for it.

The Deputy Chair of the RA State Revenue Committee Shushanik Nersisyan presented the endorsement of the Government.

The bill on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code authored by the Head of the RA NA My Step Faction Lilit Makunts and the member of the Faction Sisak Gabrielyan was debated in the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Excluding of the Income Double Taxation and Preventing the Evasion from Taxation.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Artashes Petrosyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The MPs passed by voting the debated initiatives.

Covering the agenda the parliament ended the work of the regular sittings.
