On July 6, the Head of the RA NA My Step Faction Lilit Makunts met with the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United Kingdom (UK) of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia David Moran and the Acting Deputy Head of Mission to the Ambassador Steve Dodds.
The interlocutors talked about the formation of the UK-Armenia Parliamentary Group in the Parliament of the United Kingdom in the previous week. The MP from the Conservative Party Tim Loughton was elected Chair of the Group. The Baroness Caroline Cox (House of Lords) was included in the Group as Co-Chair, the MPs Andrew Rosindell, James Gray, Mark Pritchard, Feryal Clark – as Vice Chairs and James Murray as Officer. The Chairperson of the Armenian National Committee (Hye Dat/Armenian Cause) of the United Kingdom Annette Moskofian was appointed Secretary of the Group. An agreement was reached to organize an online meeting between the two Friendship Groups in the near future.
The parties exchanged ideas on the reforms being implemented in the National Assembly with the support of the United Kingdom, particularly highlighting the creation of the platform expertise.
During the meeting issues regarding the reforms in our country were also discussed.
