At September 9 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan, the package of draft laws on Amending the RA Law on Ensuring the Road Traffic Security, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offences, on Amending the RA Law on State Duty, on Amending the RA Law on Mandatory Insurance of Responsibility Stemming from the Use of Transport Means Use and on Amending the RA Tax Code was discussed in the first reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan has noted in his report that the necessity is conditioned by the urgency of regulation of the problems existing in the technical examination.

The MPs in their interpellations touched upon the decent assessment of the risks in the sphere, the efficiency of the location of distribution of the stations implementing technical examination, the statistics of road traffic accidents and the obstacles of the process implementation. The key and co-speakers gave clarifications related to these items.

As a result of debates the legislative package was endorsed by the Committee.

The draft law on Making and Addendum to the RA Law on Property Tax was debated in the second reading and endorsed.
