At March 16 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security the ASS Deputy Director Tigran Harutyunyan, the Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan, the Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan, and Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan made a report on the procedure and the results of the implementation of the RA Government programme for 2020.

The ASS Deputy Director Tigran Harutyunyan referred to the works done by the ASS in the economic security and the fight against corruption counteraction.

During 2020, in the ASS Investigative Department 558 criminal cases were sued and 212 out of them were criminal cases sued with crimes against corruption and economic activities. In the last year 16 cases have been sent to court with accusation conclusions, and 20 officials’ cases referred to the above mentioned ones.

Harutyunyan also answered to the committee members’ questions, touching upon information security, fight against fakes and pre-examination of the assassination attempt case of the RA NA President Ararat Mirzoyan.
