Summary of Works of Standing Committees of National Assembly of Seventh Convocation: Standing Committee on Economic Affairs

The main directions of the activity of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs are numerous: from the state policy being pursued in our country to investments and anti-monopoly.

During the activity of the parliament of the seventh convocation the Committee worked overloaded.

61 regular and extraordinary sittings were held. 240 draft laws were completely passed. 200 out of them authored the Government, and 40 out of them – the MPs. 17 draft laws were rejected, and one parliamentary hearing was held.

The annual reports of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition and the Public Services Regulatory Commission were debated. Working Groups on Investment Boosting and Tourism adjunct to the Committee were created.

The Committee debated in detail the initiatives concerning the entities’ activity before their adoption with the beneficiaries: about 45 working debates were organized.

Draft laws directed to the protection of the entities’ interests were passed.

During the activity of the parliament of the seventh convocation the Committee received 150 applications-complaints from the citizens, answered 143 out of them, studied and sent seven to the authorized bodies. About 700 citizens’ receptions were organized.
